"Ted was part of a team that led the successful collection of DOI radio system baseline information by planning, scheduling, and conducting radio site audits of 87 DOI radio repeater sites in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and the Colorado River corridor through a combination of onsite visits and the evaluation of existing technical documentation. These site assessments were concluded on time and under travel budget. My first experience with Ted was during the July presentation of his “plan of attack” for completing site inspections. Ted had mapped out the site visits (to the hour) and had investigated the cost of travel down to the specific cost of accommodations and mileage per trip. I have worked in this business for many years and thought I was organized – well Ted certainly “schooled” me (in a very positive way!!). As they say, the “devil is in the details” and the “proof was in the pudding”!! If ever there was proof to the saying “measure twice and cut once”, Ted is a living example for the value of experience and orientation to detail".
